Places Through Animal Faces


Introduction
Through the use of United Streaming
student will lean
about that all animals have adaptations that allow them to survive in their
unique habitat. Since most students have some knowledge of wild animals, they
will begin to think of places on Earth (continents) through animal habitats and
environments.
Task:
- Watch the
United Streaming
video entitled Animal Faces, Animal Places. (The video is
about 15 minutes long, but remember, United Streaming allows you to watch
the video in segments. You may want to limit the 15 minutes into a couple of
segments).
- After a brief
discussion on the video, have the kids open Kidspiration
- Go to
'Pictures'
- Click here to
open the Animal Places Template
- Students will
look in the library under "Geography" and locate the globes that
represent each of the seven continents and place them on their page
- Next, have
the students go to the Animal library and find an animal that can be
found on each of the continents. They should select an animal from the
video.
- Print and
share!
