Lesson Objective: Students will learn the basics of PowerPoint so they will be able to prepare their own PowerPoint Presentation featuring the Historical figures from Virginia's history.

Pre-Activities: Students have a basic understand of the computer and MS Office software applications. Each student has been assigned a Virginian to research in the library. Students should finish at least 5 people.

Activities/Lecture Topics: By utilizing the PowerPoint manual and with the assistance of the teacher, the librarian and the computer technologists, students will learn to search and sort through important information. They will then produce a PowerPoint concluding with sharing their presentation.

The students will be working in the media center  as well as the computer lab for several class times to prepare their presentations. Classroom teachers should be available for students during these times and anytime they have questions or need assistance.
